First Batch of NTN+Cellular Asset Tracker jointly Released

Classification:News
Time:2024.06.26

On June 26, 2024, during the MWC Shanghai 2024, Gosuncn RichLink, in cooperation with Quectel Wireless Solutions and Qualcomm, jointly released the industry's first Batch of standalone asset tracker GL103S, which simultaneously support the functions of "NTN satellite communication" and "multi-mode cellular communication". GL103S combines Qualcomm's leading communication technology, Quectel's highly integrated NTN satellite communication module, and Gosuncn RichLink's innovative design, will bring asset tracking solutions integrating many advantages such as powerful functions, long battery life, and small size to global customers.

Integrated Satellite and Terrestrial communication, seamless reliable connection

NTN (Non-terrestrial network,) is an important supplement to the terrestrial cellular technology. The integration of satellite communication networks and terrestrial networks can provide ubiquitous coverage capabilities without being limited by terrain and topography, as well as global tracking and positioning, connecting multi-dimensional spaces such as air, sky, land, and sea, forming an integrated ubiquitous access network and realizing on-demand access in all scenarios.

Gosuncn RichLink GL103S Standalone Asset Tracker is equipped with the Qualcomm 9205S modem and the Quectel multimode satellite communication module BG95-S5, and supports the S-band (B256/ B23) and L-band (B255) of 3GPP R17 IoT-NTN, enabling the tracker to fully support two-way satellite communication and multiple network standards such as Cat M1, Cat NB2, and EGPRS. It can achieve seamless reliable connection in remote areas such as the ocean, deserts, and forests, providing high-quality solutions for freight tracking, cold chain logistics, and monitoring of valuable assets scenarios.

Powerful performance, enhancing the user experience.

GL103S has an exquisite appearance and a small size, and is easy to install. This product has a built-in independent GNSS chip and temperature and humidity sensor, light sensor, motion sensor, and Barometer, which can accurately perceive changes in the working environment and fully leverage multidimensional data value in asset monitoring throughout the entire cycle.

For the freight container scenario, Gosuncn RichLink creates the original built-in sensor + self-developed algorithm to realize the door opening and closing detection, eliminating the additional cost of an external door magnetic sensor and bringing a more competitive solution. The IP68-level waterproof design, 4500mAh long-life large battery, and wide-temperature design of -30°C to 70°C inject surging power that leads the industry into this high-performance asset tracking product.

Close cooperation and innovation-driven win-win.

At the site, Gary Lu, the CTO of Gosuncn RichLink, was full of confidence in the cooperation among the three parties: "Based on a deep understanding of the industry and scenarios, and equipped with self-innovative algorithms, under the support of the dual-mode satellite/cellular communication technology brought by the Qualcomm chipset and the Quectel module, the industry-first launch of Gosuncn RichLink GL103S NTN + cellular asset tracking product marks a significant milestone, and effectively solves the pain points of concern for industry customers. Gosuncn RichLink will continue to innovate, expand the industry ecosystem, and bring more reliable IoT communication products and solutions to global customers."

Andrew Wang , Senior Director of Product Marketing in Qualcomm Technologies said, "We are very pleased to see that Gosuncn RichLink has released this IoT product that support satellite connection technology based on the Qualcomm 9205S modem. This collaboration not only introduces the latest satellite communication technology into traditional IoT applications, but also enables more industrial and consumer users to achieve ubiquitous connections in more challenging environments, bringing higher service quality."

Delbert Sun, Vice General Manager, Quectel Wireless Solutions said: "Many IoT scenarios have relatively high requirements for the continuity of the network. We closely cooperate with outstanding representatives in the industry such as Qualcomm and Gosuncn RichLink, continuously promote innovation, and lead the forefront of the industry. Our multimode satellite communication module BG95-S5, with its diversified connection mode of 'NTN + cellular', can help the Gosuncn RichLink GL103S tracker flexibly access the network according to the deployment situation, providing a more comprehensive and efficient solution for global asset tracking applications."

Standing at the forefront of the industry, Gosuncn RichLink has always been working with industry chain partners, focusing on IoT communication technology, Telematics and mobile communication business, creating a leading global IoT industry product service provider, and helping customers achieve commercial success!

From June 26th to 28th, 2024, the Gosuncn RichLink GL103S Standalone Asset Tracker and the Quectel satellite communication module BG95-S5 will be showcased at the MWC Shanghai exhibition. Welcome to visit at the Quectel booth N2.E80.
